Your Portfolio Project is your place in our club’s website to share your work. A Portfolio Project is a
\nplanned and intentional series of up to sixteen photographs centered around a specific idea, theme or
\nsubject. It is more than just taking random pictures – it’s about creating a cohesive body of work with
\npurpose and direction where the pictures all have something in common or tell a story.<\/p>\n

You are encouraged to choose a theme for your project which interests you and stimulates your
\ncreativity in photography.<\/p>\n

Benefits of doing a project:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Explore your personal vision and style through a series of images within a photographic theme.<\/p>\n

Creatively express various facets of a subject, place or idea.<\/p>\n

Develop your skill set in handling your camera’s settings for a variety of photographic conditions.<\/p>\n

Give yourself a special purpose and motivation to Get Out and Shoot!<\/p>\n

Your portfolio project is on-line through the club website and accessible to you from almost anywhere
\nin the world. You can continue to work on your portfolio and update it even if your travels take you
\naway from Sun City Center.<\/p>\n

There’s a comments section for club members to post their encouragement and appreciation of your
\nwork. Let\u2019s keep it positive, no need to be critical. This is not a forum to “critique” someone’s work.
\nOnce your Portfolio Project is complete, it could be showcased during one of our club meetings. If
\nyou\u2019re up for it, you could even share the inspiration and challenges you faced while working on it.<\/p>\n
